The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania is offering the Romania Government Scholarship 2026 for international students from non-EU countries. This fully funded program allows students to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees at accredited universities in Romania.
Applications open on 16 February 2026 and close on 31 March 2026 through the official Study in Romania platform.

🔆 Eligibility Criteria
✅ Open to all non-EU citizens
✅ Minimum academic average of 7 (“Good”) or equivalent
✅ Must not hold another Romanian state scholarship for the same study cycle
✅ Bachelor’s & Master’s studies are taught in Romanian
✅ Free preparatory year provided if Romanian language is not known
✅ PhD candidates may study in Romanian or another approved language
✅ PhD applicants must obtain written agreement from a doctoral tutor and pass an interview
✅ Applicants who requested or obtained protection in Romania are not eligible
✅ Diplomatic/consular staff and family members in Romania are not eligible
✅ Staff of international organizations in Romania and their families are not eligible
✅ Stateless persons officially residing in Romania are not eligible

✅ Create an account using your email
✅ Complete the online application form
✅ Upload all required documents separately in PDF format
✅ Ensure documents are clear and officially translated if required
✅ Review the application carefully
✅ Submit before 31 March 2026
✅ Receive confirmation via email after submission

✅ Applications cannot be edited after submission
