Applications for the Kyoto University Amgen Scholars Program 2026 in Japan are now open. This fully funded summer program welcomes both international and domestic scholars passionate about research at Kyoto University. The program begins on June 5, 2026, and runs for 8 weeks in Kyoto, Japan. Participants will receive a scholarship amount of 180,000 Yen, accommodation, and covered travel expenses.

During the program, students will conduct full-time research under Kyoto University faculty supervision, attend seminars, laboratory visits, and the Amgen Scholars Asia Symposium in Tokyo. This hands-on experience enhances research skills and offers opportunities to explore scientific career paths.

โœ… Scholarship stipend of 180,000 yen (paid in two installments of 90,000 yen each).
โœ… Free participation in the Amgen Scholars Asia Symposium in Tokyo.


๐Ÿ”† Eligibility Criteria
โœ… Open to students from universities across Asia (Eastern, South-Eastern, Central, Southern, and Western Asia).
โœ… Applicants must be current undergraduate students enrolled in a bachelorโ€™s degree program in Asia.
โœ… Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study before the program begins.
โœ… Applicants must not graduate before the program starts.
โœ… Must continue their undergraduate studies for at least one semester or quarter after completing the summer program.
โœ… Excellent academic record required.
โœ… Strong English language skills are essential.
โœ… Applicants should have an interest in pursuing a Ph.D. in the future.
